My car, a 1969 Boss 302, with original engine reunited with the car after decades MIA!

Ford created the Boss 302 to race in the SCCA Trans Am series for the 1969 and 1970 seasons. These are the only years for the Boss 302.

They made 1628 Boss 302's for 69 compared to 7014 for the 1970 year. The 1969 Bosses are much more rare and had more very specfic parts on them. They also had different stripes for each year. The 69's had this "C" stripe and the 70's had the more familiar "hockey stick" stripe. For 1969 they only made 375 in the Acapaulco Blue you see here. My car is a documented one of one with the options it has. The popular "shaker" option was not avaliable for the 69 year. This car is featured in the book "Mustang, The Next Generation" on page 40 with a full page picture and in the August 95 Mustang Illustrated Magazine

The Boss 302 engine is a solid lifter engine with 4 bolt main, screw in freeze plugs, and of course those heads. For these Bosses Ford used the "new" Cleveland heads that were to be mated up with the 1970 351 engine (hence the 351 Cleveland).  The 70 was a more "streetable" engine. This was due to the fact that the 69 had a larger intake compared to the 70 Boss 302. As for the body, you will notice no "side scoops" on these cars as well. These were filled in. This was unique to the Boss 302 only! This car is a driver, and not a trailer queen!

This particular car was raced in the Texas area in the early 70's and as such the motor was "blown". A service replacment block was installed and the original block was forgotten. What was nice about the Boss cars was that all Boss 302 engines were VIN stamped with the VIN number of the car. My block was found in a machine shop in Dallas in the late 90's and reunited with my car a few years ago.A VERY VERY rare occurance indeed.

As this car spent its entire life in the Dallas Area (untill it came to Canada) it has ALL it's original sheet metal. It has never been in an accident and has never seen any rust.

I hope you enjoy the car...
