I bought the truck back in Febuary of 06. and hit a tree on a wet curvy back road late one June night a few months later it looked somewhat halfway decent until then i warped the frame and destroyed the whole front left clip and cracked the whole backside of the front rim so needless to say i had my work cut out for me when i went to put it back together its been a fun project for me to learn alot about customizing and just cars in general

the truck had a 2.2 in it and i built a home made air intake out of some PVC pipe and rubber elbows just to goof around i enjoy customizing things cause i get bored very easily but that way it always stays interesting...

here was my first attempt on the intake but it was crap

and put the cragars 15x8 front 15x12 back on it after i put it back together after the wreck

the tires stick out about an inch or two but if i had some rims with a little more bs they would tuck under just fine

as far as my interior goes ive put leds and cathodes everywhere in the cab as you can see

i have a 10" cvr kicker comp in a custom sealed box so i could fit it in the cab behind my seats and still have leg room for my 6" 5" self

I put an autometer 5" tach that matches pretty well with the rest of the interior to work with the v8 since the stock one couldnt be used anymore

then when the motor decided to blow i figured id drop a sbc 355 into it its a L89 block out of a 72 vette with the enormous 75cc heads which arent too good for power on a naturally aspirated motor but it leaves plenty of room for some type of forced induction just not sure which way i wanna go yet the pulleys are off of the 4.3 s10 so that the a/c lines would hook right up to the truck

heres a pic of the truck the day i completed the swap

i ran true dual turn downs on the trucj and the mufflers are the flowmaster 40 series originals

its backed by a MG-5 manual 5-speed trans out of a full size truck which has a custom shifter to clear from hitting the dash

its still not completely done under the hood and i still need a rearend upgrade and i plan to put the entire zq8 suspension on and build my own cal-trac suspension bars then after that im gonna start on the cosmetic stuff and redo the exterior

but like they say a good car is NEVER finished...keep posted more pics to come in the future
