The MBZ-1
A fully integrated security system and keyless upgrade module for Mercedes Benz. Communication is instantaneous and no programming is required. If during any time you wish to disable any of the MBZ-1 functions, you can do so through the controls located on the steering wheel. Installation on most Mercedes vehicles is only about 10 minutes and locates the module in either the driver�s side or passenger�s side kick panel. The MBZ-1 also has a incorporated DPS protection system that will alert the installer through a solid RED LED that he has connected to the incorrect plug on the DIN rail. Once the proper plug is chosen, the module will blink confirming this is the right port.

Factory Keyless System Description
The Factory Mercedes Benz system has the ability to reproduce both Infrared and Radio Frequency signals through your Mercedes key. Different functions are only accessible through either of the two frequencies, and are not shared.

Factory vs. MBZ-1
Features
Factory Mercedes Benz WINDOWS UP/DOWN & SUNROOF Function
The Factory Mercedes Benz system is equipped with the ability to roll your windows up or down from the Infrared receiver located on the driver�s side door.
To operate this function, you must point your key at the remote receiver on the door handle while holding down the lock button. If the remote is moved away from the IR, or the button is no longer depressed, the windows will stop.

MBZ-1 WINDOWS UP/DOWN SUNROOF Function
With the integration of the MBZ-1 you will no longer be required to stand at the driver�s door to roll the windows up or down. Nor will you have to hold the lock button down. The MBZ-1 will perform this function through the factory based RF output. This will give you the ability to operate this feature from anywhere around the vehicle within 100 ft. You will only have to push the lock or unlock button (depending on up or down) on the factory remote twice instead of having to hold it down to operate the windows. You will also be able to operate the windows independently from the sunroof as well.

Factory Mercedes Benz DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK CONFIRMATION
The Factory Mercedes Benz system is equipped with a visual, blinking headlight confirmation in the event the key holder is attempting to lock or unlock the vehicle. If the door is left ajar, the Factory Mercedes System will not lock the driver�s door allowing full entry into the unsecured vehicle. The factory system will not give any type of audible confirmation as well.

MBZ-1 DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK CONFIRMATION
The MBZ-1 provides both a visual and an AUDIBLE confirmation that your doors have either been locked or unlocked. It will AUDIBLY alert you through your factory siren that you have left one of your doors ajar by chirping 5 times. This function eliminates the potential of walking away with your vehicle unsecured and your doors unlocked.

Factory Mercedes Benz HEADLIGHT VISUAL CONFIRMATION
The Factory Mercedes Benz System provides a visual confirmation through your factory headlights that said function has been performed. This is your only option and does not operate if your door(s) have been left ajar.

MBZ-1 AUDIBLE/VISUAL CONFIRMATION
With the MBZ-1, you will be able to choose whether you would like your headlights or fog lights to turn on/off during operation/confirmation of function. You will also be able to choose whether you would like the audible response to stay on/off.

Factory Mercedes Benz IMPACT SENSOR
Nothing is available to protect the vehicle from any type of jolt or impact to the body, window, or windshield while the system is locked.

MBZ-1 IMPACT SENSOR
The MBZ-1 is equipped with a negative trigger which enables the technician to integrate an impact sensor to alert or chirp the factory siren in the event of a jolt or impact to the vehicle. Through the DEI 504K, this impact sensor will also provide the customer with up to a $2500.00 content protection guarantee.

Factory Mercedes Benz CONVERTIBLE TOP OPEN/CLOSE
Mercedes convertible system will allow the operator of the vehicle to open the convertible top while standing at the drivers or passengers door and pointing your factory key directly at the IR receiver. The unlock button must be held down during the duration of the top movement and cannot be pulled away or the top will stop.
While stopping at a signal light if you want to lower/raise your top, Factory Mercedes says the vehicle must be in park and the convertible switch in the center console will need to be held down for the duration of the motion. If the light turns green or you need to start moving, the top will cease to move and an audible beeping will sound. The top will also stop its motion immediately.

MBZ-1 CONVERTIBLE TOP/OPEN/CLOSE
The MBZ-1 will allow the key holder the ability to open/close the convertible as well as roll/up down all windows by pushing the lock or unlock button (depending on desired function) three times. This can also be done from up to 100ft away.
While stopping at a signal light if you want to lower/raise your top, the MBZ-1 will allow you to do so without the necessity of being in park. You will also only have to touch the convertible top button once as opposed to holding it down/up for the duration of the motion. This module will also permit the operator to drive while the top is still in motion as long as the vehicle speed does not accelerate past 25 mph.

Factory Mercedes Benz ALL SECURE
This is not an available function on ANY Mercedes currently. You must individually operate each of the functions to fully secure your vehicle. This cannot be done simultaneously.

MBZ-1 ALL SECURE
The MBZ-1 will give the user the ability to perform an ALL SECURE function. This will roll-up your windows, close your sunroof/convertible top, lock your doors and flash your lights showing your function working/complete.
