I found this 1927 1/4 ton truck cab and asked the owner what he wanted for it. He said " if you even look at that again ill shoot you in the face"! well i talked to him again that fall and got it for the labour of doing an engine swap for him. I call her "HILLBILLYHOTROD" for the reason being i have collected parts from all the nicest of cars and trucks from every make and will build the truck totally from these parts. eng(350 4 barrel) and mating numbered tranny(400) from a 70 impala. framework is an all original 58 gmc panel van frame, 6 bolt drums all round. the box will be wood of course. Interior by caddilac, lights from dodge,chev and even plymouth is in here! I have the original bumper and right down to the original and unbroken side mirror! total body shell weight including hood firewall and front fenders is under 400 pounds. all i need to get to start the welding process is to find an original steering box,coloum and wheel to place the cab.
