1965 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible
I spent a year looking for a convertible Chevelle. I live in San Francisco and I thought I found one in Nashville TN. I flew over there with a good friend and master body man Bob Carroll. I spent 20 hours traveling and to decide in five minutes that the car was a "cover up" to sell to someone not knoeledgable about cars. After much disappointment, i decided to give my Chevelle hunting a rest for a while. Then i found this convertiable about 100 miles away from San Francisco.
Car History
The Car was in in the same family for the last 30 years. This car originally was white with touqoius interior. It was restored about 20 years ago, painted green and with brown interior was installed. I personally am not a big fan of the colors but the car alone is just great to look at no mater what color it is. Here are some pictures in the original form the day I got it. I bought the car on 1/18/08.
First Crack at the Stereo
I wanted to have something loud enough to listen to with the top down. the system is loun inside the car but does not pour out sound wave like some systems I've had in the past. This is the first crack at it and I plan i make more changes but this works for now while I daily drive it. Alpine CD/ MP3 in the glovebox - Infinity Kappa 6.5 in the doors - 2 older JL Audio Subs in the trunk - Alpine amps, 1 MRP-M850 and 1 MRP-F450, Fosgate 1 Farad Cap.
