This is my 85 Monte Carlo that me and my dad repainted when i was 16 in early 2008. I did probably over 90% of the body work and did all of the paint preparations. I let my dad spray the car cause he's sprayed plenty of racecars and I didnt want my first time spraying to be my Monte. After that theres been plenty of things i've done to the car which you can see through out my pages. Next thing is going to be rebuilding the motor and throwing a 4 speed in it. We'll see when that all goes down.
Please leave any comments or advice you have. Also rate it if you want. I appreciate it.
Check out pages three and four for the latest pics
Special Thanks to IGNITR for putting my Monte in his video

On the trailor on the trip home...one of the coldest trips of my life...but well worth it. This cars got a 350 small block, tho obviously its not the original with the car. Basically i have a bunch of pictures on here from some of the things i had to do to get it ready to paint and some other things i did to fix some small problems. the pictures should be pretty self-explanitory as to what i was doing. Make sure to check out the next page. those are pretty recent pictures, and some of the manual conversion.
I had to take the doors all apart to get both door handles out cause they were bent and we found out the latch on the passenger side is broke and the hinges on the drivers side were bent...we fixed the hinges and the driver door opens and closes perfectly now. i also replaced the latch with one from my cutlass on the passenger side. so while the doors were out i made new insolation for both doors and fixed up the rust on the inside of the doors and on the running boards then sanded em down and painted em black.
This is the car after its been masked off, obviously...gettin it ready to be primed so i could wet sand it.
This is after we primed it. the nose piece has a flexible primer on it simply cause the noise piece is plastic.
This light red layer is just spray paint. its purpose is to let me know where i've wet sanded and if i've gotten an area good enough. by the time i was done wet sanding there was hardly any red paint left on the car.
heres the car after wet sanding. just a few more touch ups here and there, mostly on the hood, and we were ready to paint.
heres some of the shop, i had to come in early to cover everything we didnt want overspray getting on. and there are some pictures of the car on jack stands waiting for paint.
here it is getting painted on April 26, 2008.
and heres the car the day after parked outside my dads shop on main street
