Lashlee's 1998 Honda Accord

Here is the latest version of my accord. I've been through a few variations over the last few years, but this was the first time I've done any serious updates.

Starting on the outside, I've made the switch to a bronze wheel. I found a deal on some new in box 18" Konig Blatant wheels, and used a 225/40 Kumho AST tire. I've always wanted go with a bronze wheel, but I wanted to make it so that they don't stand out too much. I think the subtle hue contrasts with the deep green and really compliment each other. I do have one more trick up my sleeve, but I'll bring that up later!!!

Lashlee's 1998 Honda Accord I haven't made many changes under the hood. I've got an optima red top battery, with a Phoenix Gold battery holder. I then fabricated a fuse holder mount.

It utilizes three mounting points to maintain some strength, then I had it powder coated to match the PG piece. I've used 1/0 power and ground wire for the stereo, but I also updated the factory wiring under the hood. Due to the size of the wire, I encased it into some flexible conduit and ran the wire under the car. It follows a factory channel under the car, and stays away from all heat, and chaffing sources.

Once it reaches the rear of the car, it comes through the floor pan through a grommet.

Where the wire exits the conduit, I used an additional layer of heatshrink to protect it even further. Once inside the car, it connects to a second battery after passing through a fuse.

I used a Kinetik HC800 due to its small size, and it seems to be holding up well! After leaving the battery, its' sent to a fused distribution block, and directly to the X1001 amp for the subs. The terminal blocks on the amp accept 1/0, so I ran a short cable directly to it.
