A car is only original once and that is what makes this Cougar so special.

It is virtually untampered with, see for yourself.

I found this Cougar XR7 in Washington state and had it shipped to NJ. The original owner drove it for 25 years and left it to his son in 1997. I bought the car in October 2006

66,000 original miles. Always Garaged, Well Maintained.

When you start it up and look it over in person, there is no doubt that this car is what it is.

Plenty of power to smoke those rear tires!

Factory Paint still shines (Ford Medium Ginger) no cracking, no fading and NO BONDO ANYWHERE! Just some minor dings and a few dents...all and all not too shabby for a 36 year old unrestored car.

Original Vinyl Roof looks great! 2006 New Dual Exhaust installed, all original 351 Cleveland 2v, FMX 3 Speed Trans, Factory Tac,

Very Rare Mustang Mach 1 Interior Package,

NOS Front Shocks installed April 2007 + New Battery and Battery Tray.

The car comes with Hi-Back Bucket Seats (no rips, stains or tears) original Floor Shifter.

(8 Track Player included but removed from dash). CD/AM/FM was installed by previous owner.

Yes! the car is indeed equipped with those famous "Thunderbird Style" 3 Stage Sequential Rear Turn Signal Lights. And they are working perfectly as are all the lights and gauges.

Car runs great!!! very smooth, no pings, no hesitation. Brakes are great too.
Trans shifts as it was meant to.

Factory Marking Clearly Visable
OK stamped on Valve Cover,Yellow Marking on other Engine Parts, + Original Wire Harness with Ford Logo clearly printed on the tape holding the wires in place. Washer Motor clearly reads August 23, 1971. A large brushed yellow marking can also be seen on the center rear axle.

'71 to '73 are the last years for the "Classic Cougar." Hard Tops in nice condition are much harder to find than even the convertibles, and how many of those do you see around?

Some new uninstalled parts are included with car

This car still retains it's original wheel covers!!!
Any Cougar enthusiest will tell you that these XR7 Deluxe Hub Caps are impossible to find in decent condition, not on ebay, not even at the well known "West Coast Cougars (Parts distibutor),"
They just don't exist.
3,000 miles on these White Wall Radial Tires purchased in 2006 by previous owner

........................Sequencing rear signal Lights are dazzling! just Like those old '60s Thunderbirds!

All Original Mach 1 Interior package (Tiger Stripe Fabric)

Squeeze Steering Wheel to Blow Horn! (Called a Rim-Blow Horn)

Look at the condition of this Original Vinyl Roof

Factory Tac

BONUS!!! Brand Spanking Crispy New "Custom Color Matched + Carpeted XR7 Floor Mats"..Wow!

Dry Solid Trunk Floor with original Factory Speckled Gray Coating. Clean Spare and Original Jack!

Original Factory Markings On Engine. August 23, 1971 clearly stamped on Washer Motor. Original tape with Ford Logo still on the wire harness!

The Cleveland 351 was first offered in 1971 to replace the 351 Winsor. Clevelands were famous for powerful Low End Torch. Even though this car is a 2bbl, Just hit the gas and she bolts!
From '71 to '73 The 351 Cleveland was offered both in Boss & Mach 1 Mustangs. It was standard in all Cougars.

Dual Exhaust was replaced with a new one in 2006

.
.
Printed materials that came with car still in Original Clear Plastic Pouch with Ford Logo Stamp!!!!
