here you see the car i call "el super azul" meaning the super blue in english. its a little car we have just for fun and to trow around its got quite the pep under the hood but thats about it.
hmm... mysterious "brake" line
Right now the car is used to go get parts for the shop we have or to just go from hand to hand to just give transportation. during the day thats his job now when the night falls the car has another function..... maybe you already know what it is
Extremely aerodynamic front end!!!
Look at that exhaust it looks super aggressive!! >)
Note how well the car is maintained especially the paint witch is always maintained like this in a mirror like finish. ^^

the car was taken to the Carolina Speedway in PR to compete in a drift event! it all went well given that the car had the stock suspension, random tires, miss aligned, broken airflow meter boot, novice driver that was drifting for the first time! jaja
here are the vids:
Now its been some time since i have been able to update this car so here is the list of things i have made to it.
First we decided to use the car for drifting since it showed some promise. So we pumped up the suspencion a bit, Bilstein sport shocks all around. Also we had some rear H&R red springs so we installed them, we didnt have any front springs so we salvaged some green springs we found on some old shocks we found lying around. We also installed a rear anti-roll bar for extra stifness.
The car competed in the Furious wheels "Driver search" competicion and my dad had this "cool idea" to paint the hood green and add some green stars... the problem is that the green is horrible!!

super ugly green

some of the cars that participated in the event
The event wasnt that bad and i managed to finish 5th but i still need more practice.
Finaly i got the vinils in place so now the car desnt look that awkward with the green hood... but still the green has to go

I am curently prepearing the car to compete in the D'ranking, wich is a big event in drifting here in PR.
Finally got the green out! now it looks way better and actually it doesnt give you a headacke when you see the car.

Now that the car is looking better with the paint job, well it needs some rims, unfortunately I dont have money so i will have to see what I can find.

Well here they are, they may not be pretty but at least is something! I tried to find all four AC style wheels but just found 2 so I grabed these 5series wheels to complete the set, now im afraid that the rear wheels wont fit. In a atempt to make them look a bit better i decided to paint them the same color as the vinyls, so the car has some matching colors.

Mounted the wheels tough I need to change the rear tires because they rub, guess 225/45/17 would be the size to fit. Now all the car needs are some spoilers!
Well last weekend was "The Ranking" event, a drift and time attack race made to rank the drivers in PR. Me and my brother competed in the event. It went pretty well. I was eliminated by a 500hp RX-7 gen3 but dont think he beat me by a shitload, we had to race 4 times for it to be decided, and on the last pass one of my tires got blown away.

sequense of the first turn at The Ranking.
There was some controversy on who had won the event... some bad things happened but anyways. This was a reunion we did at "Panchitas" to discuss the events of the Ranking.

we had fun and stuff but still we gotta get ready for the next event the Torah D1 in carolina.
Well here at the torah d1 event the track selection was a bit more technical, slow but dificult anyways we had a great time there!
New mods to the car are a coil-over suspencion we salvaged from an old GT-2 car we had

This really made the differense the car is easier to drift, tough we ned some camber plates to adjust the front camber so we dont spin out to much.
Here are the picks of the Torah D1 comp. enjoy

My lil bro won the event with me being eliminated in the first round>.< anyways next week is gona be the Ranking V2 were the Dominican Republic will battle it out against Puerto Rico, also with guess Casper Canul to be a judge to it all, looking foward to it!
New to the car, we decided to change the stars and put them crome instead of green, also we got rid of the rims and used some imitation M3 contour wheels. check it out!

The ranking V2 was good Casper Canul really pushed us to the limits by doing a long and fast track for us, the turbo cars were ok but since im N/A and my car is kinda like between the turbo cars and the underpowered it was dificult for us to adapt but by the race event we got the hang of it. The dominicans were tough to beat since they all had 300+ cars and they have a track were they can practice but we managed to win, at first all of our heavy hitters were eliminated on the first rounds so it was up to me, my bro, and James (n/a corolla 86) to beat the sylvias from the Republic. I was eliminated for 3rd place and my bro got 2nd place, James got 1st place!

The next event is another Torah D1 on march 29, hope i can do better and add more mods to the car!
here are the picks from the Torah D1 event: March/29/09

This past week i went to the Dominican Republic to race in the "Dominico-boricua" championship

I crashed the car on turn 1 (note the damage in the front on the passanger side) I tried to enter the corner way to fast (76mph to be exact) and the car ended up sliding all the way out to the grass and i hitted the tire barier headfirst >_< lucky me it was minor damage :P
It was a new experience to me because i had never drifted on a good racetrack with such a dificult layout for aspirated cars. Not to complain but given more practice my brother and I, would have done better.

My friend's 325 had an early encounter with a huge rock hidden in the grass >_< damage include: intercooler, front bumper, rim/tire, power steering lines, motor mounts, side skirt, electric fan, serpentine belt, and damage to the carbon fiber hood due to the engine hitting it.

Most of the cars that participated had over 300hp with the exeption of myself and 2 other beemers.

Come on!! Make more smoke!! The downside of being N/A :'(

Unfortunately, my brother and I were eliminated at the first round. But not to worry , hopefuly by the next time we race the car will be turbo ;)
