Building the custom intake manifold. We used part of the OEM piece for the runners/injector bungs. The plenum is some sheet stock and part of an aluminum drive shaft. The t-body is off a Cadillac Northstar engine. We utilized the OEM fuel rail with some modifications and the factory throttle cable.

The exhaust manifold and front strut assy. The exhaust manifold is a 4 into 2 design for the divided housing of the turbo (Holset HX35). This syncronizes the exhaust pulses for better spooling of the turbo. To keep each side seperate we use 2 wastegates. The header is wrapped to keep heat energy going to the turbo as well as insulate it from heat soaking the engine bay. The down pipe is a side exit design which is also wrapped.

The intercooler is a water to air unit. As its a drag car we want cool, dense air going into the engine. This allows us to use ice water to drop the inlet temps below ambient air temperature.

The water resivoir and pump are located inside the car. There are 2 valves to facilitate water flow to the intercooler and for draining purposes.

The blow-off valve is installed on one of the end tanks of the intercooler core. Here you can also see the radiator and overflow take, both robbed from a Honda Civic. We also used a trans-cooler from an F-150.
