Every car seems to be a project car these days and there is no exception for Katsumi, my 2007 350Z. Over the next couple of months this beast of a car will be outfitted for live on the track, but still somewhat streetable.

Originally this car was only meant as a daily driver, but once I took delivery I knew that wasn't going to last. The first mods (Hotchkis Stage 1 TVS, Volk TE37 Time Attacks) went on within 2 months and I haven't looked back. I'm probably stuck with this being a daily driver for the rest of the year, but I'm not letting that stop me form building the track car I'm working on.

The engine in the 2007 and up 350Zs are 80% redesigned over previous years, so the ECU is also programmed differently. Two throttle bodies = two fuel maps. Technosquare Inc. was looking for an 07 Z to begin prototyping their new ECU reflash for the HR motor and thanks to

Cheston and his Twin Turbo Z I was able to being a relationship with Technosquare and I'm looking forward to doing a lot more with them and the car. The prototype work has gone really well and the car is outputting an average of 15 more horsepower and torque just form the tune. Matched with the HFCs and Nismo Exhaust I'm putting out about 302rwhp.

The next step in the car's progression is going to be a new body kit. I've got a Top Secret Rear Diffuser here already waiting to be installed. I need a dremel tool to cut out a little bit, so it will fit properly with my Nismo exhaust, so I haven't been able to do this one myself. Hopefully in a week and a half or so I'll be taking the car over to Makito at 7 Apple to paint my Nismo V.2 kit. I've got something special planned for the paint. You'll just have to wait to see what happens.
