Bringing Some Light On The Subject

As all MX-3 owners know, our headlights come with yellow hazing and it really sucks to have a beautiful car look like crap. It's not just the MX-3 but every car will sooner or later will have their headlights will turn yellow from the sun. I decided to take the plunge and try to fix this disease on my car.

What I Used:

Permatex Headlight Lens Restoration Kit
Meguiar's PlastX
Isopropyl Alcohol

Step 1: Masked around the headlight with masking tape
Step 2: Washed the headlight with soap and water

Step 3: Washed the headlight with alcohol

Step 4: Started to wet-sand left to right with 1000grit

Step 5: Started to wet-sand up and down with 1500grit
Step 6: Started to wet-sand left to right with 2000grit
Step 7: Started to wet-sand up and down with 2500grit

Step 8: Washed the headlight with alcohol
Step 9: Apply the polish to the headlight and let it dry

Step 10: Wipe Off excess polish off
Step 11: Polish again with Meguiar's PlastX
Step 12: Wiped the excess polish off

Now My Car Can See Again
