This is my ride. It is a 1999 Pontiac Formula Firebird ws6. It has the 5.7L LS1 engine followed up by a Tremac T-56 six speed manual transmission.

Here is a list of the following upgrades and improvements i have made:
The car was painted all over a year ago, including painting the top black. i also stripped all the moldings and badges off the car including the firebird logo on the center taillight and i had them recleared.
I installed a aftermarket airlid without the restrictive baffles that come from the factory. I also replaced the mass air flow with a SLP version.
Mac mid length headers were installed and followed up by a offroad y pipe minus catalytic converter and then into a 3" Magnaflow stainless "cat" back system with two 3.5" stainless steel tips.
A Spec stage 2+ clutch was installed followed with a GM high carbon billet steel flywheel. along with all that the slave cylinder and all bearings were replaced. A Jet C.A.G.S delete was installed to turn off the annoying 1st to 4th gear shift that comes on the 6 speed tranny.

It is Pewter in color and dark gray interior.

This car is loaded with just about every option for this car which actually makes it rare. In 1998 and 1999 you could order a Firebird with all the options of a WS6 Trans AM minus the ground effects. This car has the two option codes that essentially make up a WS6 car. There is a code WS9 for the ram air package and a W66 code which is the handleing/suspension/wheel package. the package lowers the car and puts stiffer suspension under the car. After 1999 the factory stopped making these Formula WS6 models and the options were no longer available.

Update: i found production numbers for the Firebird in 1999:
1999 Production breakdown
Total Firebird Units:36,219 all models (Trans AM included).
Formula Firebirds:1602
Formula w/o WS6 Option: 1427
Formula w/ WS6: 175
Formula w/ WS6 and 1LE: 20
not really sure what the 1LE option is any help would be appreciated.

So my car was 1 of 175 Formula WS6's made in 1999.

This is the only factory picture i have been able to find of a Formula WS6.

The inside is relativly stock aside from a Pioneer CD player and sub and amp. The car had the monsoon sound system and was not bad from the factory so no speakers have been replaced yet.

The Subwoofer is a 12" Kicker L5 Solobaric in a custom folded port box. The amp is a Kenwood KAC 829d amp is rated at 300x1 RMS 600 watts peak. For one twelve this sub will put out the bass. the only problems it causes is the interior panels of my trunk to vibrate.

I have owned this car now for two years and have only done little things to it so far. This is what my last car was. It was a 1998 GMC Sonoma with almost everything done that is possible. The difference is i owned it for 6 years. I did everything myself (I do bodywork for a living) and anything i could not do there was usually someone there to help me out. Let me know if you have any ideas, i am ready to get this project moving.

Thank you for looking at my page, please leave any comments or suggestions

This is just another picture of a WS6 firebird. They are not seen too often so i thought i would post this pic of one i came across.
