Just a few updates...
Took some time and had the bed prepared to get the bed liner rollered on.

Used 1 gallon of Duplicolor which after a week after application, it really hardened up and gives it a good hard shell. Still want to apply one coat of Herculiner which gives a sort of rubberized finish with texture.
Just for kicks, tried it on the pedals to restore the surface and found it to be very resilient to tread wear and plenty of grip, should work out great.
Was able to get a hold of some upgraded wheels, a big difference from the 14" stock rims. These are 16" rims with 225 tires, someone may be able to identify the manufacturer.

It changed the speedometer reading by 5 mph at 45 according to the GPS and tach but have already seen a slight increase in mileage. A lot more grip when taking off but takes much of the drag off as compared to the smaller wheels

I had some time to get the truck into the garage to finally clean the rims and re pack the front bearings and decided to put some of the hi temp paint on the rotors and brake calipers, totally cleaned them up. The rear brake drum cleaned up just the same, and the engine block paint is about the best stuff i've seen for adhering to the metal surfaces, hope to see no more rust.

Still looks like a total sleeper except for the addition of the placard, doesn't seem that anyone takes notice until the engine starts up.
The next part that is getting re-assembled is the stock instrument set up. (page 5)
This is kind of a before shot, went through today and cut some foam board to outline the entire area where the simulated wood grain covers and will make a carbon fiber board replacement with 3 layers of carbon and resin. Then it gives the versatility of getting some decent instruments custom mounted. Pics to come.
Everything comes in time, will be keeping an eye out for some new front and rear light assemblies for the 87 ranger, but just like the truck just getting old, most parts are not available and have to fabricate just like the instrument panel.
Makes for an exciting ride...
This is my littlest one with me at the Oak Harbor Lions Auto show last August. No award but lots of interest.

Had to show off the little brother, the curbcrawler (Clodzilla) with some flex action. Works best when the remote video cam is mounted and chasing my kids with their friends around the neighborhood from the comfort of the living room.
