The interior in one word is rough. It needs a LOT of work. Right now it has a GM steering column, seats out of some 80's model car that need to be thrown in the trash. The dash is terrible. The gauges are after market and old, though still working. There are no door panels, no headliner, no seat belt, the list goes on and on. Basically it is due for a complete over haul.
Ah the fun part. Were planning to do the interior our selves to save a little green. First off I'm going to insulate the interior from heat and noise. Next I'll be rewiring the entire car. We are planning a tan or red and black interior. I'll fabricate leatherette door panels, and a leather wrapped center console with A/C and power window controls. The carpet will be replaced with a fitted black or tan carpet. The dash will be replaced with new sheet metal so I can decide the placement of the Autometer Old Tyme gauges which will be going in. Next will be the headliner. Then some tan leather seats which I'll pull from a late model car. Finally I'll add a custom stereo and some nice interior lighting. This will be by far the toughest part of the project.
