The initial plans for the subs were to mount them in the rear deck. After review, this would most likely take some cutting of metal, and would be a very tight fit. Due to time and class restraints, I opted to have them firing into the rear seats in an IB (Infinite Baffle) configuration. The bottom of the wall doubled as the mounting rack for the amplifiers. The entire enclosure was built from 3/4" 13 ply void free baltic birch plywood. The actual wall itself is double layered to 1.5" thick. The rack is bolted to pieces of 3/4" mdf that were glued to the floor of the trunk with industrial adhesive, and is sealed around the edges with liquid silicone and trim pieces for an airtight seal.

Rack during construction. You can see a PDX amp sitting in for measuring purposes, as well as the mock up fan rack at the front of the rack.

The sides of the rack were trimmed down to be more aesthetically pleasing. Special thanks to Jay Kent for help with the design on this portion of the rack. Here is a shot of the wall/rack installed in the trunk with the subs wired up and all amplifiers connected:

The fused distro blocks for the amplifiers and the accessories were mounted in the rear deck. An 8 gauge wire goes from the main block to a smaller secondary block. The secondary block powers the 701 processor, mounted behind the trunk linker carpet, and a relay, which provides the remote turn on for the three amplifiers, as well as powers the fans for the cooling rack:

I have a 2004 ford f-150 super crew cab. And I'm trying to fit 2 12 Kicker L7's underneath the seat in a custom box I plan on building myself. But I am having trouble with the dementions. And I was hoping you could help me out since you did a bad ass job on your car, it looked like you knew what you were doing. So if you could get back with me asap, I'd really appreiciate it.

Wonderful work. Way to represent for Honda owners, that is a very well done and attractive system. You have something to be proud of and also something to consume your free time tweaking and tuning.
