I decided to mount my tweeters in my a-pillars. I wanted to try and keep a relatively OEM look on the install. Since my pillars have a bend down the middle, I couldn't just cut a hole and flush mount the tweeters. Instead, I marked an exact spot on both pillars, and then cut a slightly larger hole with a hole saw. I then hot glued a pvc ring into place at the correct angle, and built up the sides using epoxy putty. Once the putty hardened, I sanded it down smooth, and covered the pillars with matching headliner material.
This is the putty I used. I used about a tube per pillar. You can find this at Lowe's for about $5 a package.

Hole cut in the pillar, and pvc ring glued into place:

Putty built up before sanding. 80 grit sandpaper was used to sand things smooth along the sides.

Pillar covered and tweeter installed:

After the install was finished, I found out that the foam backing on the headliner material would have put me in a modified competition class, so I had to replace it with grill cloth. The cloth isn't a perfect match, but is close. I have plans on making it match better in the future.
