HI, my name is Eric and this is my 1987 oldsmobile 442. The nickname i have for it came from my manager i used to work for who used to call it black beauty. i also use the nickname of the duece and the fourty four duece. I found this car in the summer of 2001 on carsoup, and bought it shortly after. i havent done anything special to it yet but i have put in a new 307 engine because the old one was burning alot of oil. i also wanted to keep the same engine size because i want to keep it as original as possible. but i will be making some mods to give it a little more muscle. this is the only pictures i have of it right now. I will get more as soon as i can. but at the time its winter and it is sitting in my garage.
this is me with my car for my senior pictures. and another one from the front. i just got the front redone last summer because my old g/f's sister backed into it. but thats ok it had some spots needed to be done anyways. i will get more pictures of the inside and more, some other day. If some of you are wondering what 442 stands for is 4 barrel carb, 4 speed,
(2)dual exhaust, they had another meaning 4 on the floor 4 barrel carb (2) dual exhaust and the last one they had was for a 1988 cutlass calias version that was 4 cylinder 4 valve 2 camshafts. but it wasnt as cool as the cutlass supreme version.

future mods: as soon as i get some money hopefully over the summer. im gonna put an intake in it. put new airfilter probably K&N, i wanna put straight pipes on it, and i wanna put air shocks on it so i can raise the back end. but thats about all im gonna do for that.
i have to put most of my money towards my other car i have a 93 ford taurus SHO that i really want to start driving again but it needs new computer and probably a new trany. so alot of money having 2 cars so as soon as im ahead a little i'll be putting this stuff all together. and i'll get some pics soon also

Nice 442, and gotta agree with drolds here, keep the 307, checkout this website on an 85 442 that has a built up stock 307 vin9 motor , and still on the computer, you'll be impressed, your car will also be worth more keeping it all original site is at http://hometown.aol/dwstang67/myhomepage/index.html, and while your at it checkout my 1985 442FE3X Hurst page her

yea man. 442-4-life.Nice ride. I honestly think that you should keep the 307 though. You can get a lot of power out of that motor than spec. Anyway thumbs up to keeping it stock. check out my 80 when you gotta chance.
