So today I installed a new 3rd brake light. I ordered it off Ebay, the seller is x3racing, and there was actually no aftermarket parts for the new generation Explorer Sport Tracs. I found this one looking through 2004 thru 2008 F-150 parts! So I checked out my boyfriend's F-150 and clammered through his stock of OEM parts and noticed his stock 3rd brake housing was identical to mine. So I got this item and hooked it up. Since this one is all LED, it was already harnessed into a single harness for the brake light and the perimeter light. I had to cut and splice the OEM bulb connector to this aftermarket part harness.

I installed an HID kit for my baby a while back. It's by XENTEC, got it off Ebay for $80. It is the bo-xenon kit, supports hi-beam and low-beam. It was a fun project, had to run a power to the relay connected to the high-beam wire to activate the solenoid and move the bulb to the high-beam position. I'm still running stock headlamp housings, waiting for some to come out for this year ST. check out the pictures.

To the left is my 2008 Sport Trac, and to the right is my boyfriend's 2007 F-150 I'm running 8000k bi-xenon HIDs with hyperwhite fog lights. It all looks pretty neat, really bright on the road. Not too many other Explorers or Sport Tracs with HIDs.
