The back story......

Ok so my first car was a bone stock blue 1990 mazda 323, and being a poor high school student the mods were vary scarse.  if i couldent do it myself it wouldent get done.  just for refrence i had intake (intake piping and k&n filter) and exaust done (2 1/4 in with a cherry bomb for the muffler) and had junkyard rims for a more agressive tire euro wiper and foglights and probably a bunch of other random stuff that i cant remember.  so as time went on the car ended up dead and sent to the kidney car foundation, the end of the legendary 323. (sed one single man tear).

Durring my early modding stages i looked into the performance aspect of these little cars and found out that there was a production turbo model that came 4wd.  "what no way" you may be saying to your self,  "a tiny econbox with power and stability".  thats what i thought but its true.  the problem is that they made only a very small limeted number of them.  i think that only 1200 were produced for noth america in 1988-1989 these cars are classified as the bf chasis,  (my first car was of thh bg chasis.)  and i think only 500 of the bg chasis made it to america. ( i could be wrong on my numbers and if i am i apligize and will respectfuly change them to be accurate if someone contests them.)

now knowing that there are so few in north america i put the dreams of owning one of these on the shelf and go on living my life.  untill the fateful day in my 3rd year of college when one of my frends sends me a link to facebook auto of a guy selling a 1988 mazda 323 gtx in calgary alberta.  sure enough thats where im living no way.  so i go to my wife and begin begging for the car but the guy has it listed for 3000 which as a poor college student i cant swing.  so i run some dialoge by him and we go about our seperate paths.  then next month i go to check because it must have sold by now but no,  he has droped the price to 1000.  so i finaly talk my wife into the car and i go about selling off one of my other hobbies to aford this car that i have always wanted.  problem i was only able to get 900 for my stuff so now i need to ask him if he will take that.  i cross my fingers and make the fateful call.

CAll Recreation: ring ring....ring ring "hello" "hey do you still have the gtx for sale for a 1000 bucks"  "yea i do but i have an offer from a guy in the states for 700 but i have to ship it to him" "Oh i see "  " but if your in town i would be willing to sell to you because then i dont have to ship it" " really"  "yea if you pick it up i will let it go for 500 bucks"  "when can you meet".......... and the rest is history.

i was blessed to get the car for 500 bucks and without further adue i give you the 1988 mazda 323 gtx......

it has lots of rust but makes it more of a sleeper no one knows until you get worked that it can move.

this is the beast in its uninterupted hybernation (it really wanted to come out and play but the whole insurance and regestration thing was stopping the slumbering beast)

to deal with the rust problem i am blessed once again because a freind from school had a 1988 mazda 323 which she gave me because she could no longer insure it because it could not get a valid inspectio
