Here you have a 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0L engine. I bought it in May 2007. I swapped out the axles for Dana 44 with 4.56 gear ratio. The tires are 38" Mickey Thompson MTZ on 14" wide rims. The underbody modification took 3 weeks for me and my father in law. The paint job and final modifications took about 1 month. The car works great in snow. I lowerd the suspension and links 12 cm, the rear axle about 8 cm back and front axle 3 cm forward. In the future i´m thinking about LS1 engine and a lot more! Sorry about my bad english!! :S
Not a big garade but it will do! Hmmmm....damn, doesnt fit! Adjusting ring gear and pinion, backlash. I made the "glider" or what you call it, so it would be easier to install the gears The rear lower link All done in the rear. The axle in place and tires on. Just need to cut more space for the tires. A little bigger! Custom made steering arm Front suspension Not much space for the tire in the rear! Underbody almost ready! First tryout! Damn he´s cool! I made a "tank" for the air compressor Now the paint job. Fenders, bumpers, mirrors, door handles and more painted. The rest was polished. Trying on the fenders The small one is going on the car...big cut off! Chrome molding! Works good. First snow trip to Hrafntinnusker. Driving with 3 PSI in the tires to float on the snow. Full throttle! Coffee brake in -20°C Done? never! (new engine, lights, diff locks and more on the way!) Mean beast!
