Below, are the first 2 pictures of my first ride the Polara 880 the top of the line Polara for that year. I was to wait till I was 18 to get my own car. I found Paula while out for a drive, parked in a driveway with a for sale sign in the back window. $600 later, she was all mine. Paula had the 318 cid / 5.2 litre wedge engine with 230 bhp. What a great first car to have.
Paula had a dent in the passenger real quarter panel. I got most of the dent out on my own. After 3 years of searching all over the world, I found the stainless chrome side moulding in my home town.
I loved the way her front grill shined.
Below, is Paula... fresh out of the body shop, having a face-lift.
The next two pictures were taken after I had spent 6 hours detailing her to go to a car show / cruise night. My neighbour and close friend was very impressed with my passion for car care. That's her standing in the door. And then, she took my photo. Oh... to be 20 again with all that time to play. Paula is now in the care of another owner. Hope he treats her royally!
