This is my 1961 ford fairlane 500 I bought it from a junk yard in january of 2006 and i have got far on it is already halfway restored,just it is expensive. It is a very nice and very rare car, even when I go to car shows I have never seen a 1961 ford fairlane 500 like myne, I have a nice pioneer srereo in it with big speakers that iluminate in blue. I also have thrush glasspacks on it, and a K&N air filter. My fairlane has a 292 v8 and it runs perfectly the car had been sitting for 35 years and the engine was froze up. one of the valve's was stuck,so we had to work on it to free it up but when we freed it up we got it started and it didnt somoke or burn oil or anything. It is an awesome and this car is a miricle, my guess is that the car was bought used at a dealer, and when the guy brought it home he realized that the transmition would not shift, so he parked it,for 30yrs then the guy died and the cars were sold at an oction and a guy I know who owns a junk yard bought it then it sat in his junk yard for 5 years. there is a big story on this car and more to car and more to come.....
