New toy we just picked up yesterday. it needs a new radiator support. i don't what they ran into, but it bent it good! all the plastic under the front is tore up and held together with zip ties and wire. the only non-stock things are 16 inch eagle alloy wheels. the wheels have too much back spacing so every time i turn or hit a bump the tires rub. so i guess lowering it is gonna have to wait.
the exhaust rattles and leaks. the muffler is burnt out and rusty, so it sounds like it doesn't have an exhaust.
it's got the baby 1.5 motor. it's all stock for now.
this is where the radiator hit the hood. they had to notch the hood for clearance for it. when they hit whatever they hit, the core support and radiator got pushed back and up. the core support is still really bent so the radiator is still too high
took the valve cover off to polish it and do a little cleaning, but when i got the cover back on the car wouldn't start. crap. replaced the distributer cap, rotor, plugs, and wires, since the old ones were really wore out. still won't start. crap. took the coil out and took it to the parts store. they tested it and they couldn't get it to spark. interesting. it worked fine an hour before when i pulled the car into my shop. weird stuff. anyone else have anything like that happen? that's a first for me! so now i got to come up with $89 for a coil. the muffler fell off too, it was so rusty. oh well. quick run to the parts store for a new coil, then got the new coil on and it started right up.
took the front off to try to straighten the core support. it's the best i could do with my BAH (big ass hammer). did some minor porting and gasket matching on the exhaust side while i was in there.
got bored and sprayed the wheels black. much better!
noticed a big crack in the wheel when i had it off. crap. one more thing to add to the list of problems with this thing!
