This ride is a serious show car and is currently being kept in storage; safe, covered and out of the elements
Only 721 of this car was made in the 1971 model year and this one has been beautifully restored to its original factory condition
In 2005, Auto Authority in Ellington, Ct. was employed to do restoration including; new convertible top, matching fabric, new rear glass window, matching interior seat covers [ all original colors ], exterior re-painted with original gold color, quarter wheel house replacement, fenders as stated. Any factory items in good condition were kept. Engine and transmission were completely rebuilt, as well as brakes, gas tank, etc. Original production sheets included, as well as, original spare tire and gas can. Vehicle has automatic slap stick transmission, 318 Engine, power convertible top, and optional light group. This vehicle is for the serious collector only, worthy of a Jay Leno-type collector. About the history... When purchased, this 1971 Barrcuda was the same vehicle that came out of the factory. When bought, the rockers, doors, and floors were rot free. The same week bought, two OEM fenders were purchased for the car.
