My name is Brian (Reckart Performance Tuning) and this is my newest purchase, 2008 Corvette Coupe. I ordered the car through Rick Daniel @ Les Stanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, Michigan. The ordering process was really easy and the car was picked up in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is where the Corvettes and Cadillac XLR's are manufactured. This was a museum delivery and took the tour of the assembly plant and what an experience. The car was optioned with Magnetic Selective Ride Control (F55), Bi-Modal Exhaust (NPP), 3LT Equipment Group, Transparent Top (CC3), 6 Speed Manual Transmission (MN6), Atomic Orange Metallic Paint.

The Corvette Coupe is powered by the new LS3 small block V8. The engine is 6.2 Liters and 376 cubic inches. The car makes 436 horsepower @ 5900 rpm and 428 ft-lbs of torque @ 4600 rpm with the optional Bi-Modal Exhaust. The intake assembly has already been replaced with the Vararam "Snake Charmer" Cold Air Induction. The transmission has been changed for 2008 from the Tremec T-56 to the Tremec TR-6060. The shifter was also changed and has a shorter throw.

Here is Nakid Parts VaraRam Shroud that really cleans up the air intake area.

Here is a pic of the Bi-Modal Exhaust. The Corvette uses the outer tailpipes during normal driving. Once the car passes 3,500 rpms, the vacuum actuated butterfly valves open up for a less restricted path through the mufflers. The valves are installed on the inner tailpipes. The remote control has already been installed from Ed @ Nakidparts.com that allows me to fully control the valves. I leave them open most of the time for a better exhaust note.

This is a pic of the new padded armrest from Downsouth Vettes. This is padded with leather and custom cross flag embroidery. This is a huge improvement over the stock console. The shifter boot, emergency brake handle and emergency brake boot were replaced as well with Downsouth Vettes products.

Brian, I have the same exact car except auto so the wife could drive if needed. I would like to know what hp increase you got from the air filter upgrade and what the cost and hassle was. I use liquid gold and the shine is awesome. Get tons of compliments on the color. Mine is 2009 I ordered in Florida. I have 2,700 miles now. Had to add some air to the nitrogen in the tires as getting the nitrogen is a real pain. My daughter lives near you in Austin and saw you car in their area. Atomic orange rocks!! I used to have a 409 (425) with 5:14 rear, 2 E series 4 barrels etc when younger. Hope you answer the question, beautiful car, enjoy!!! Bob
