On Feb. 6, 2008 purchased this Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It is a 2000 Crown Victoria P71 and with a Modular 4.6 V8 and your standard police setup. It has dual exhaust, 3.55 gears, 4R70W transmission, stiffer(700 lbs./in.) front springs, GOODYEAR Eagle's with plenty of thread life left and black steel rims with the chrome center hubcaps.
Here's the information I got from the VIN:
2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Door Sticker Info
EXT PNT: WT - Vibrant White Clearcoat
BRK: 3 - 4 Wheel Disc Brake
INT TR: IR - Laura Cloth Front Buckets/Vinyl Rear IR, Dark Denim Blue
R: F - AM/FM Electronic Radio
AXLE: DK - 3.55 Gears w/ Traction-lok
U - 4 Speed Automatic (4R70W)
SPR: NNGG - Front Spring, Catch Word - NUL
Features include 4-wheel ABS, power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel, A/C, and dual front airbags.
Recently installed a new radio (nicer Crown Vic radio with cassette deck for my MP3 player adapter, nothing fancy), changed the steering wheel cover, tried out a new headlight restoration kit (Permatex $17 great results), and changed the oil and oil filter with Motorcraft filter and Quaker State oil (runs so smoothly now).
Goes 0-60 mph in about 9-10 secs and I've hit and maintained 100 mph on the highway with no problems (did about half the trip from Orlando to Miami in about an hour).
