THE CLEANING AND STRIPPING BEGINS
I started by stripping all the front down.
Began sanding and priming in small amounts at first. Notice the rust hole under the battery, This is very typical of early Mustangs. Everything was taken down to bare metal with a resin/fibre wheel and sprayed with Rustoleum rust primer. Battery tray area patched and welded and new battery tray in place. Engine bay starting to get a little first coat of semi gloss.
The front chassis had some rust where the bumper irons bolted up, I cut it out and welded in patches supplied from California Mustangs. The top of the strut tower had some rust too where it overlaps the inner fenders, that too was cut out and patched using the right gauge sheet metal.
Engine bay finally painted and starting to put some things back in after so long being empty. That is the original washer fluid bottle and it is almost as old as I am but still in good condition.
Underneath starting to look good.Original 6 cyl exhaust still showing in place lol.

One more question, where did you get the rear shocks with coils.

Looks really nice, you did a great job on the car. Now the reward of driving it and enjoying car shows. How long did it take you? Mine took 4 years, and I'm still doing upgrades
