Went to Byron Dragway on July 18th 2009 and ran a new best time!

R/T .560
60' 2.226
330' 5.787
1/8ET 8.795
1/8MPH 79.66
1000' 11.403
1/4ET 13.573
1/4MPH 101.95

Video of that run here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAPGeO7jha4

Race weight was 3425lbs!

That run was on street tires. It would have been faster, but I think I am having problems with my transmission.  It threw a P0740 "torque converter clutch circuit malfunction" later in the day. I'd suddenly lose about 1000RPM, if I let off and got back on it, it'd keep open. Wideband datalog shows the RPM drop happening for almost a full second. Happend twice on the 1st run, then 3 or 4 times on every run after that. CEL didn't come on until I was just cruising around town later that evening. Car drives fine, shifts fine, doesn't miss any gears or slip going in an out of any gears, the RPM drop only happend at WOT at the track. So hopefully it's just a solenoid. I think the torque converter was locking in the middle of the run, causing the RPM drop, when I let off and floored it again, it unlocked and kept going.  Without those problems, I'm sure the car would have run a 12!

Last couple runs I did with the slicks on, but had the RPM drop issue even worse on those runs.

The car won "Best Engine" at the 2009 Stratusphere International Meet on May 17th 2009.

Here's a couple pics of the car getting ready for that show, very few people had shown up yet when I took these:

Went to the dyno April 4th to tune, had a best pull of 286whp and 302ft-lbs of torque at 4400RPM on 18psi of boost with a broken fuel pressure regulator.  Couldn't finish the pull, would have made a bit more power if I was able to take it all the way out to 6000RPM where the shift point is.

I rebuilt the fuel pressure regulator and will be headed back to the dyno ASAP, also should be going to the track soon.

Today I fixed an exhaust leak on my O2 housing, and installed a carbon fiber hood.  The hood weighs quite a bit less than the stock steel hood, and the scoop is functional, should help get some cool air in over the turbo.  Here's a new pic:

This is the story of the World's First and Fastest Turbo Sebring Sedan. I've tried to organize information, pictures, and video, on this project from start to finish as much as possible.

JUNE 14TH Took the Car to the Dyno... it said 251whp...

I do not consider this dyno pull to be very accurate. The dyno day I went to was at a diesel shop. I was 1 of only 3 gas vehicles there, and the ONLY car there. Everybody else had a truck, almost all Diesel's. The other gassers were a Hemi Ram that put down 254rwhp, and an old S10 that put down 130rwhp. They couldn't figure out how to run my car, kept telling me they rarely do gas vehicles and almost never do cars. The dyno operator kept asking me how to run it... I was just like "Uh... you're the expert, you tell me"... We settled on running it in 3rd from 60 to 110mph

The dyno sheet says 251whp. However for some odd reason they couldn't get an RPM reading, and didn't get a torque reading either. So it just says 251 @ 0 RPM / 100mph. Also not sure where they got the weight from... they put 3375lbs as the weight... which I know is not right, especially since there were 2 people in the car for the pull. I would have put the weight closer to 3700lbs
Due to the number of vehicles there, everybody was only given 1 pull... so I didn't even get a chance at another pull for a more accurate reading.

Here's a video of the pull... not sure where the guy got the number he reads off at the end, it wasn't what was on the screen or the print out...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v97R7O_8GGI

It held 17psi for the run, spiked to 21psi at the very end which was a little too much for the fuel pump... ran out of fuel and backfired just as the pull was completing.
This was with the same tune/settings that I ran my 13.999 @ 101.326mph at.

No the Nitrous is not in the car, that was just out there for the show.

Most important thing of all... SCT tune by ME.

There's lots more done to the car, I'll update with a full mod list later.

May 31st 2008 I took the car to the track for the first time ever. Drove it 105 miles to the track then 105 miles back home.

Track is at 4500' elevation.
Temperature was 70 degrees.
Dew Point was 41 degrees.
Humidity was 36%
Pressure was 30.02 in.

I upped the boost until I hit fuel cut, ended up maxing out with it spiking 19-20psi and holding 16-17psi. This was with 91 octane pump gas. Full interior, absolutely no weight reduction, and half a tank of gas. Couldn't find an open scale, I think the car probably weighs around 3500lbs with me in it.

I can't get my scanner to work, but here's all the data off the time slip...

Reaction: .717
60': 2.255
1/8 ET: 9.059
1/8 MPH: 80.272
1/4 ET: 13.999
1/4 MPH: 101.326

I had 0 traction. Smoked the tires on every run. I got my best time launching in 2nd gear. I figured 1st gear was completely useless after a couple runs.

I got a total of 12 runs in. Traps were consistently 101mph, ET's were all over 'cause I was trying to figure out the best way to launch.

Here's a video of one of the runs (sorry no sound), not sure what my time was on this run though: http://www.youtube.com/v/z6Q4AanjphY

This was all on my stock 16" rims with 205/60/16 Bridgestone Potenza G009 all season tires.

Not quite, goal for this year was to hit a 12, final goal was as close to an 11.5 without going faster as possible. Need to max it out on just the turbo first, then add the Nitrous if I'm still not there. Next is suspension, then eventually a new paint job and some more interior work.
