Here is my new project, an 05' Volvo Xc90 V8. I am building a killer sleeper out of this SUV. When i am done it will be right around 400hp and have a full multimedia system fully integrated and driven by an 80gig ipod.
So far we have built a custom Borla dual exhaust system that really lets the 4.4 V8 breath along with a custom intake system. We also match ported and polished the upper intake manifold ,all Together we are estimating around 50hp gain.
We added the Volvo rear skidplate to frame up the exhaust a little and add a little contrast.
We also have upgraded the brakes on this bad boy. We replaced the stock rotors with custom cross dimpled and slotted 336mm front rotors and the stock size in the rear. Performance brake pads, powdercoated calipers, and stainless lines vastly improved the braking feel and performance.
For now the stock wheels have been powdercoated a charcoal pearl gray to match the lower body.
We also added a Heico mesh grille with a custom Volvo emblem for a little flavor.
I think thats it for now, she is pulling a lot harder than stock at the moment with more to come. Also it is getting a crazy custom stereo system with at least three monitors, two Focal 27v2 subs, three sets of Focal polyglass components and around 3k watts. It will be running full dolby 5.1 surround sound and have a full speed 80gig video ipod intergrated with a dock fiberglassed into the dash. I am currently looking for the proper set of 20s or 22s for the summer set of wheels, i have three i like but no decisions yet. Let me know what you think.
