Memory Lane... My past rides. As with many people we just buy the best car we can afford to buy at the time. When looking at these cars you will see when times were tight and when times were good. Never great but good. All of the cars got me where I needed to go but one. And also with many people we have our dream cars , dream jobs , ideal future spouse but then a chain of events happen and that all changes or at least makes you understand why they are called just that, dreams. We learn to settle and make do and even grow comfortable in what we have and become proud of something others may laugh at or frown upon. Not all of my cars were car show worthy and a few were barely roadworthy but we get the best we can afford at the time. Enough babble , here they are...

This was my first car. A 1980 Cutlass Supreme. You always love your first car no matter what grief it caused you.

My 2nd car, A 1988 Cutlass Calais with the quad 4. Rolled it 5 times with the needle burried. OUCH! You youngsters seeing this keep in mind yes I lived but my back hurts every single day of my life. Drive carefully and at least somewhat responsably.

with the insurance paying off my wreck it left me with $300 in which I bought a Nintendo and this Nova for $150.00. Is probably still on the road somewhere.

My 2 door Caprice Classic. This was a great car and ran for many miles before the trans went out. Even then probably put on another 50 miles in reverse since it was all I had.

74 Camaro My first taste of raw power. Loved the car but the frame was so rotten that the whole car would twist when I got on it and the wheel wells were rusted out too so every time I smoked the tires I would have to let off to see where I was going it got so thick in the car.

big ol Caprice paid $600 for it.

My 79? RX-7. The car was fast and fun but lost spark and couldn't figure it out so sold it for $300, the same price I bought it from my cousin for.

Camaro, Don't even remember what year because it only ran for 3 days. The car dealer disconnected the oil idiot light because the oil pump went out so I drove it for 3 days with no oil basically. Shady Bastards!

87 Chevy Silverado. Loved that truck. Only got stuck once.

I think it was a 86 Grand Prix. A guy traded me this car for the Camaro with the pooched motor. It was a reliable car.

89 Cutlass Supreme. It's the only pic I can find of it.

1990 chevy heartbeat package. I had this truck for many years. Looking thru old pictures it always seems to be in the background somewhere.

66 Mustang I bought for the wife's birthday.

85? Cougar I went to visit my childhood friends in Illinois and one of my friends was selling this for $2,000 so I had to buy it and drive it back to Minnesota.

90 Honda dx Great little car. Ran a long time before she died on me and the repair bill was as much as I bought it for so sold it to the mechanic that was working on it.

Pontiac Grand Prix. Don't remember what year and this is the only pic of it when it broke down on our way back from Nebraska for a bmx race. This is the image I remember of this car the most.

96 Suzuki Esteem . Was my first car domain car. I traded in the broke down grand prix and paid $700 for it and to this day was the best running car I ever had and it had over 200k miles on it then. Made it and held #1 Suzuki Esteem for around 3 years here on the domain.

93 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I caught the fast and the furious bug and tricked this out and then it just died with a mysterious wiring issue, 3 owners after me and I hear they still can't get it going. Made it to #1 93 Eclipse for around a year before I pulled it off since I didn't own it anymore.

My pride and joy '67 Plymouth Barracuda fastback. Was a show off winner so I won't delete her own pages. My life hasn't been the same since having to let go after our 3rd child was born. I guess I can be thankful I got to touch on a dream for a year instead of never having been
close at all. Made it and I believe is still holding onto #1 67 Barracuda here on the domain.

1970 Chevelle. My cheaper replacement for the Barracuda but it just didn't give me the same feeling. It needed a lot of work but was an ok car. Made it to #1 70 Chevelle here on the domain. The car was far from worthy of that honor but photographed nice so took it off to be fair to the others.

both the classics together before saying goodbye to the Cuda

1971 Chevy k-5 Blazer. This truck was a fun ride bringing back memories from my early childhood and something my kids loved too but at 6 miles a gallon it had to go. Made it to #1 71 K-5 Blazer and was still #1 when I pulled it.

Traded the 71 blazer for this 85 Monte Carlo SS. Very nice car and fun to drive. My wife's lemon of a Chrysler Concorde was starting to crap out again so the SS had to go to get a roomier family vehicle but there had to be something in it for me so I bought a carbonfiber hood for the Probe GT. Made it to #1 85 Monte Carlo and I think #1 out of all Montes but don't take long for haters to get ya. There were more deserving for the #1 spot.

And here we are! All caught up. There are a couple of cars I never got pictures of or couldn't find any.

I hope you enjoyed my trip down Memory Lane and realize that no matter how bad your car is, if you love it, that's all that matters. So some dreams will remain dreams and we begin to mod what we can afford $50 here and $200 there, until before long you go out to the garage and open it up and there it is, Your dream car. Take care all.
