Page 4 is my cosmetic upgrade page. The upgrades started when I got in a replacement drivers side taillight to replace the cracked one on the car now, clear corner lights and new lower door skirts to replace the broken one on the car now. Turned out the ebay side skirt wasn't as cheap as I thought it would be but got lucky it is a perfect color match.

I started by heating up and removing the SE decals on the replacement panels. I have new silver GT decals but have more of the old decal glue to remove before putting on new. I have tried about 4 different products on it and the stuff is still being stubborn. Just a little left but got tired of doing it.

BEFORE

Look at all that Minnesota road salt. Now I have a clean spot. Have to take it to the car wash tomorrow I guess.

AFTER

I got lucky in finding a set an exact paint match for my car. I want to get it painted with next years tax returns but now it does'nt have to look crappy until then.
I really dig the orange corner lights but figured if I want mine to stand out from any other one in a parking lot better go clear. I am thinking of painting the car the electric blue metallic and the clear corners will look better on it then.

2-29-08 Installed my clear corner lights today. Let me tell you if you don't mind the stock orange lens don't even think about this upgrade, it's just not worth it. After doing it I feel anyone who put these on their Probe deserves 5 stars for spending hours removing the front end to do a 5 minute lens swap. Here they are...

Here's a free cosmetic upgrade, see the fire in the door looking Ford safety belt sticker on the window? Next time you clean your car scrape that bad boy off, it's an eye sore. Make the car look better for free.

3-1-08 The flu season is in full effect and I think I can no longer dodge the bullet. Been feeling like crap but wanted to get something done on the GT so finally got around to rebadging her. I started by cleaning the car then getting the decal wet and sliding off the protective backer slapped it in a good looking spot and squeegee the hell out of it. After seeing the clear corners out in the sun I'm glad I swapped. They look hot.

Now everything looks proper. No, it's not dirty, look close , that is the reflection of every pebble in the driveway.

3-6-08 Installed my white face glow gauges

I started by removing the whole cluster so it was easier to work on, there is a plug on each side and 1 for the dimmer switch to get this out. Then I overlayed the new gauge faces and put a dab of superglue on the pegs that are supose to lock it into place but it was a lil sloppy. I had no issues with breaking needles like I heard others have done. Just have to go slow and take it easy. Even going slow only took maybe 10 minutes start to finish on applying the overlay.

I'm very pleased with the look and was a nice cheap upgrade.

4-1-08 Just got in my VIS Carbonfiber hood and installed it in about a hour. I had to hack off the bolts for the stock air intake and radiator top mounts to get it to shut all the way and figuring out that that was the problem took the longest time.

The stock hood weighed 49 lbs. The carbonfiber hood weighed in at only 21 lbs. That's a savings of 28 lbs and a gain of 1 and a 1/2 more horsepower and a boatload of style.

It looks so cool out in the sun, I can't wait until the car is washed. I still have to go get aftermarket wiper nozzles because the stock are too small for the precut holes in the hood but is a small problem. I'll get a set of hoodpins too since the hood is scary lite.
