cmxc4life_wheels's 1974 Pontiac Ventura

Feb 1st-
I have owned this car since early may of 2007...my parents bought it for me for a cheap 450 dollars...its a 3 speed on the tree on a 4.1 liter straight 6...when we bought it the back leaf springs were completely shot and it had a few problems with the radiator and carberator...but since purchasing this car in only 7 months my dad and i have made it alot better...so far we've bought some leaf springs from jcwhitney and installed a new carberator...second we changed it from an automatic choke to a manual choke (that sure helps it start better)..we also added a new battery, a new clutch, and put air shocks on the back...the interior was really bad in this car but my dad and i bought new bucket seats, got a seat cover for the back bench, re-done the back dash board, and recently bought a dash cover for the front dash...thats where we are now on this car...im very impressed with this car because since we put that manual choke and my new battery in it its been starting up like any other feul injected car...but as of now my dad and i are gonna start working on the exterior...fixing all the rust spots...its something we've both never done before and if anyone has some pointers let me know! well..thats my car..still a work in progress and o yeah by the way i need some updated pictures...these pictures i have right now were taken after my leaf springs were put on..at that time we didnt have any interior work done or my air shocks on..but if anyone has any pointers let me know!

April 1st-
Today I finally found some nice rally tires and rims for my car for 300 dollars and my dad and I are purchasing these this weekend and were taking out my front bench to start installing my new bucket seats.

I wouldn't paint vinal seats or even vinal door panels. My car was just plastic so I did paint it. I'm going to eventially get it covered in somethng because the paint scratches way too easy. So if wwere me. I'd stay away from the paint. Bud

Hi, Thanks for the kind words on my Ventura. Black is alot of work. You also have to invest alot of time and money in the body work. Black shows all the waves and dings. I hate to say it but I just bought an enclosed car trailer to help keep my nice. Not quite a trailer queen yet. Good luck and enjoy. Later, Kenny

Hey. The rims my dad had on his Ventura were Keystone Klassics (it might actually be spelled with a "c," I dont remember). They look amazing on Novas and Venturas. Otherwise, you can never go wrong with a set of Crager S/S's, or the original Pontiac Ralley II's (just make sure you get a set of 15's)
