I am the second owner of this Galaxie. I basically grew up with the car, as the original owner took my father, brother and I camping, fishing in it.
It is basically all original, I still have the stock wheels and hup caps. The orignal block and heads sit in my garage waiting for rebuild, but a temp stock long block is in place.
This car is unique because it came from the factory with the twin antennas, one is live the other is a dummy.
I am in military,(USAF), and so it doesn't see too much daylight anymore. I store her in the garage and my kids and take her out when the weather is good.
I don't believe in hot rodding her out, so I keep her stock. If anyone has spare parts that they don't need, throw them my way! I did restore the exhaust back to original specs/style.
I will gladly accept any spare parts that aren't needed. Right now I need a radiator, mine is too old for repair now, I had to bypass the tranny lines and place a external cooler behind the front plate.
I also "lost" the cover that goes on the firewall over the heater controls. Again, I'll gladly accept yours if not needed!
Other than that, my kids will inherit her someday unless I get a ridiculous offer. I have been told by certain "Ford" officials, that not too many '66 Galaxies left the factory with twin antennas. Supposedly that data was lost in a fire at Ford. If anyone has any additional on twin antennas on galaxies, let me know.
