WELCOME!

LedZeppelins 2002 Saturn SL-Series

  LedZeppelins 2002 Saturn SL-Series

Take the Time to

Explore the Mind of a Man

who named his car

After a Furry Blue Alien!

You will find a wide array....well, ok not a 'wide array'  but there is some interesting stuff here.

You see this car has not been modified save for the $25 set of plastic wheel covers.

The stereo (yes I said 'stereo') is original to the manufacture of the car.  It has quadraphenic sound.  In other words, there are only four speaker.  And yes they too are original to the car, installed at the same time the rest of the car was built.

 There is no fancy LCD screens anywhere, no XBox Live hooked up in the dash, no massive earthshattering Subs, and the rims are a 'massive' 14 inches!  (ok, not quite DUBs)         {see above...}

The paint is a creamy clear Ice Blue....Factory original, except where the body shop had to replace two panels following an accident....minor stuff.

But all in all, this is my Baby.  My "Stitch"

Yes I named this average, ordinary American Plastic Fantastic Car after a furry Disney Animated Alien

Given the kind unassuming nature of this car,

"Blue Plastic Demon Road & Track Killa"

.....just didn't seem to fit

But then niether does

Rolling Bank Account

The Beast

GATOR

The Shocker

So I chose Stitch.

Reading through this page, you will find a guy who has built a fine Replicar of a NASCAR Legend.

The Fireball Roberts Tribute car is one of the finest recreations, and possibly the only 64' Galaxie to represent the Career of Glenn "Fireball" Roberts.  Most other recreations are of the 63' Galaxie, or the earlier 62' Pontiac he drove during those consecutive NASCAR seasons.

The 64' Galaxie would be the last car Roberts would drive .

Just a few words.

The Car depicted on these pages is in reality just an average Saturn sedan.

LedZeppelin's 2002 Saturn SL-Series

  I understand.

This page was set up as a passtime for FUN, and has gone thru a few changes over the years.  I don't pretend it is anything more than it is.

LedZeppelin's 2002 Saturn SL-Series

Well....other than the photochopped goofiness on the following pages...

Here are a few words from my good friend, the owner of the Galaxie seen in a few pictures here.  Although the following was about some foolishness that takes place at his site, I think it applies to all of us.

Raters and Haters

CarDomain gives everyone the chance to see how their ride stacks up to others on here. But something I've noticed over time is how excellent rides can get trashed in the ratings, obviously by people with a jealous axe to grind.

Now, I'm the last guy to think that I have one of the best rides here on CD.  I'd like to think that my decent ratings amongst Fords generally and Galaxies specifically has more to do with the fun I have on my ride pages and the unusualness of my car's theme than in the quality of the car itself.

When I rate a car on CarDomain, I'm generally going to give it 5 stars because of the heart the owner dispays in their ride and their pages, not necessarily the overall quality of the car. It's your ride, and it's your pride; I'm going to support you there.

If for some reason I really don't like a car I just won't rate it. I may not be adding to the rating, but I'm not dragging it down, either. And I'd never down-rate a car just to move mine up the ranks.

I've been the victim of downrating, myself. October of 2007 I hit #4 in Fords and by the next day I was dropped to around 400. Yes, success does bring the haters out of the woodwork.

Bottom line: if you hate, don't rate. Downrating someone might move you up the ranks a bit, but it doesn't make your car better.

That's my 2 cents... your mileage may vary.

Als o as you travel these pages, you will find an amazing assortment of Movie cars....You could say that Stitch is an amazing Stunt double, but then again, you could say I have been busy with a photo editor..

I read your comments too (on CD blog), quite true. But you can't get much out of random ratings specially considering the car world will always be full of haters (you'll always have spiteful/jealous people). I just see it as an opportunity to show what you have, like it, don't like it, its there and its staying lol. But I'm definitely liking the originality you have going :) and the diecast page :D Propz on the photoshop skills, I'm an absolute newb when it comes to photoshop :P** DSM 4 EVER **
