My car is the Prototype 1971 Boss 302 Ford Mustang, which Ford built and shipped to the Las Vegas Convention Center in August of 1970 for display in the 1971 Introductory Car Show. The Boss 302 program was then cancelled by Ford and the car was never put into regular production.

However, it was so close to beginning actual production, that it was already depicted in Ford's 1971 Mustang Sales Brochures, and had been shown in numerous FoMoCo Calendars, press photos, magazine articles etc. Even today, many books and calendars feature a photo of this car from the 1970 Marketing Photos.
