1995 S14 Nissan 240sx

Every car project should begin with a preset goal. Otherwise you'll spend way more than expected and come up with a haphazard piece of who-knows-what.

Im not trying to make this a "Silvia" or "JDM" or "Riced"... i do have parts from japan, or parts from a silvia, or things you may think are rice, but its not my intention. I dont discriminate between jdm or usdm because a Nissan is a nissan anyway you look at it. I have an s13 redtop sr20det, but that does NOT mean I hate the ka24de. They both have there advantages.

My car is Pink I realize that it would definetly look much better if i were to paint it all black or a gun metal gray... but anyone can make a black car look sweet. Not everyone can make a pink car sweet. The car will have 450-500 whp with great engine response, completely adjustable suspension and will
look great and be able to compete with supercars triple its cost.
When the car was a daily driver I had weighed it in at a weigh station and was 2650lbs dead stock and about 1/4 tank of gas.

Since then I've been keeping track of all the pounds i've lost in the build by putting everything that was removed into a bin. So far between sound deadening, random brackets, bumper supports, air bags, the difference between stock exhaust and my new trust titanium, plus some other things... It all weighed up a little over 150lbs, not including interior trim. The car will have full interior. I did not included the fact that the sr20det is slightly lighter than the KA24de, because of course some of the parts on the car that im installing are in fact heavier than the stock parts... such as the larger brake rotors, wheels and tires. Hopefully the car will be around 2500lbs. That will be a power to weight ratio thats approximately .2 hp/lbs. Which is why im running advan ao48r tires, and 9.5" rims front and back.

Here are some of the most recent pics...

Camera phone picture of the rear end all cleaned up.

My Seibon Oem Style Carbon fiber hood arrived today... just placed on top, not installed yet.

Stance Solid aluminum subframe bushings... they're coming this week after alot of decision making. Originally I ordered the Energy Suspension polyurethane complete replacement bushings. But from what i've heard/read/researched... in order to install them you must leave the metal sleeve from your stock bushings in your subframe. I cut out my old bushings so... those weren't going to work i guess.

I've had these stance gr+ pros sitting around for over a year, I should be putting them on as soon as my subframe bushings arrive.

Sunday July 6th... your having a party at the beach enjoying fireworks... but i was wetsanding and buffing my car... heres a camera phone pic of the passenger fender

Engine bay with the holes all welded up, windsheild wiper motor gone and welded up, A/C holes welded up also. Stitch welds on the strut towers also. a couple holes on the top right above the brake booster to run the brake lines through the rain tray.

un-boltable radiator support, allows for quick and easy engine removal. Did the same thing on my 95 Nissan pickup only this time i did it much cleaner looking and made the welds and tabs under the support.
I cut a hole in the firewall, welded in a quarter pipe, so now you can use your tech deck mini skateboard in my engine bay... or if your a big turbo, and you wanna get your cool on, this air duct will aid your cooling like lemonade.

Thats me standing in a cloud of overspray of clearcoat.

I just threw one of the wheels in the fender to see what it would look like. Theres not subframe on the car so obviously its gunna look different then it does shown here.

24 hours till paint... super psyched

Checking some fitment and figuring out the side skirts and rear bumper fitment with the wider fenders.

Fenders all fared, and high build primered, next step is to guide coat and block sand everything smooth with 400>600grit. Keep checking back, this car should be Pink by the end of May.
