Well, this is my somewhat beat up little '89 Tempo GLS that I bought in Wyoming for only $250 -and that only because it had a new set of tires. The previous owner was convinced it had a big problem- a blown head gasket. This was not the case, it was a leaking heater hose that leaked onto the exaust line. The previous owner's father spends his time buying cars that have been wrecked that people dont want to fix, he fixes them up and then sells them. As you can see by my pics, the front end has had some work done-- some piss poor work I might add! BUT, because it took him a while to fix it ( a couple years from the time he bought it), and the fact that owners before him lived in little wyoming towns and only drove it a few miles a day. The car has only got 53K miles now on the HSO engine (Higher Specific Output).  I've made some minor upgrades to the motor but more are to come.

Here on the rear, is just first of many customizations I've planned for it. While working at a body shop for a painter buddy of mine, we were smoking some taillights for a customers car, so we took our own taillights off and smoked em too! I went a little darker than his lights, they look black in the daylight, but they still light just fine at night.

When I got the car, the glove box was locked and there was no key, so I had to unscrew the hinges out of the bottom, and yank the latch open. As you can see, I now have masking take holding it closed- hey it works!

I've got some interesting plans for this car- mostly the front end, I'll put some sketches of my plan on later.
Playing around with Lunapic and a couple pics- came up with this- i think you get the idea...

Found my new front end during a car show swap
meet!  $125 -one hell of a deal!!

I'm currently on the hunt for manual window regulators-- if anyone has any or wants to swap for my old electric ones.   My electric  ones still work- I have a short in the power wire going to the driver side switch (under the dash) and I like manual ones better.

----------------LOOKING for any and all front frame measurements!-----------------

Does anybody have any upper frame measurements for a Tempo??

I wanna do the same thing to my taillights. What percent tint if thats how you did it did you use? I want maybe a little lighter so they're legal in Michigan. They have to be visible with light shining through up to 100 feet.
