This is my 1992 Explorer Sport. As of right now, it's got about 132,000 miles on it, stock engine and tranny. I like it because it's a manual, it's got balls for being an Explorer, and it's different.

Replacing this:::: my old ride for the last year and a half:::
The wheels in the first shot are actually on the new truck.
This truck was bought last January by my parents from State Auto Sales in Hamden, CT. The truck had a fuel leak, so it sat at our mechanic's place while he put a new gas tank in it. Once we got it back, it was pretty much the main mode of transportation for my dad, back and forth to work, as I had my own truck, and my mom had her own as well.
Anyway, after I sold my Escort GT, my mom needed to borrow some money from me, one thing led to another, the debt got bigger, and now, they just decided to give me the truck and enough money to do a stereo set-up, and call it even. Works for me.
My Escort GT (gone, but NOT forgotten)...
I drive the Sport back and forth to college in Hamden everyday, and it gets about 19 to 20 Miles Per Gallon, which isn't bad, since my old Explorer used to get around 12.
I'm also getting some sweet lights for the front.
Also, it's got a Dynomax cat-back on it, and it sounds like a Mustang, which is really cool, and it's got some really sweet Goodyear Wranglers on it that will cut through almost everything.
In the beginning.
The first shot I took of it:

Cleaned up pretty nicely. There was a strip of black electrical tape covering the red stripe on the doors/trim, which, was a nice surprise when we were cleaning it.
Oh, by the way, there have been a total of three different sets of wheels on this truck.... the pictures may make it look different, but the truck is still the same 1992 Explorer Sport.
