thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it. And yes, my van will be finished in about 30 days and I can't wait but I want everything done CORRECTLY! Nothing will be Mickey Moused around on my van because if you're going to spend the kind of money that I did, you want to make sure it's done right the first time. But after the engine gets broke in all be preying on every vehicle that comes up next to me at a stop light! As for the engine; it was a totally new engine that was built by Super Six Motorsports in Georgia. If you have a V-6 and you want to see more out of it, Super Six Motorsports is the place to go! One thing to keep in mind if you have Windstar is that a Mustang 3.8 L has a completely different engine block so one cannot be changed out for the other!! Other than that though, any other Mustang performance parts will fit on to the Windstar engine. And if you have a Mustang, a great way to make extra horsepower is to use a Windstar upper intake manifold. It'll will bolt right onto the Mustangs lower intake than old and increase airflow substantially! If you're interested in one, I have one for sale along with a set gaskets to do this, or if you need to replace your complete intake manifold. Feel free to contact me or check my website at: www.windstar-sc.com Thanks again and take care

Ok just when I think I've seen the wildest someone comes up with something even better. Sweet van boss you can take the kids to school and smoke all the high school kids along the way. Have you tracked it yet? Cheers, Creeper.

hey bruce... i also have a 96 windstar with nothing but a performance exhaust and it goes like hell but i was wondering if you just used your stock 3.8L and put the supercharger on or if you got a new motor?

I have another 1996 Windstar with over 125,000 miles on it. It runs like a bat out of hell and that's with absolutely no power adders other than the freer flowing exhaust versus the stock exhaust system. I'll need to put some pictures of it online also as its a pretty bad a$$ little van. They have great low-end torque along with terrific high end horsepower due to the split part intake system on these 200 HP rated engines. I live at an altitude of over 5,700 feet above sea level where many engines struggle to breathe, but not any 3.8 litre Windstar's. I think they'd be great at stoplight racing due to the make up of the engine from 1996-on. Ford engineers knew what they were doing not only then but the trend continues! They'd be great for a high school kid's vehicle as you not only have a nice ride just by taking care of it but with its HP and "roominess floor/seats", it could make for a studio apartment per se on weekends and nights with your girlfriends! I never wrote this so "be careful not to read between the lines", I'm not saying to do as I did but rather do as you wish 'very carefully'.
