Welcome to my wife's page.

PAGE 1 is current pics, updates, and future plans!
PAGE 2 is my "How To" section on modifying this car!

This is her 2006 Kia Sorento LX V6, the latest addition to our family. We are particularly happy with this purchase. She wanted a white truck or utility vehicle, and we found the perfect one! We definitely had immediate plans for upgrading this sweet little SUV.

Fresh off the lot, I got out my GooGone and plastic scraper and de-badged her hatch from the "Sorento" and "LX" emblems. I tried to get the main "KIA" emblem off, but I couldn't. Then I bought her a Tomato badge and went at it more intricately and got it off, and slapped the new Tomato one on. Sweet!

Next up...SUPERWHITE MADNESS!! We went all L.E.D.!! Replaced all stock bulbs with Super White L.E.D's, rounded off with a pair of L.E.D. fog lights, and topping it all off with a 8000K HID kit. Welcome to the 21st century!

Followed with a DIY custom clear-corner mod done by me! She's excited about that. When a woman trusts you to do this kind of MOD on her brand new car, she's a keeper.

See page 2 for a complete guide to doing this mod and others on almost any car!

Now that she has the clear-lens "BUG" in her, she wanted me to do the tail lights as well. Luckily, CustomSorento.com offers one-of-a-kind clear lens covers for about $50, that you can use in place of the stock red covers. I wish these were available for all cars!

Interior accents were next on the agenda, so we added chrome door sills with the Sorento logo on them. Added a gray fur steering-wheel cover for her dainty hands! Then I installed the same identical APC shifter that's in my ride. Next, I spray-painted some dash-trim pieces white to match the exterior paint, and replaced all interior bulbs with super white LEDs. Oh yeah, and I slapped on that rear Sorento badge right on the dash above the glove box, just like in my car. Love birds gotta match, right!?

FUTURE PLANS
CustomSorento.com has it all, man...so we plan to buy more accents from that site when we can, like the Chrome interior accent kit, LED side mirrors, Tomato T-grille, Tomato steering wheel badge, maybe new guages? We might hit up eBay for custom pedals, step bars, LED floor lights, etc. I'm thinking of what other pieces I can paint white for her. I'm sure we'll add a pair of 10" sub woofers at some point, an iPOD hookup and maybe an LCD screen with navigation and DVD player. 20" chrome wheels to get it rollin' right....and oh yeah, a pair of headrest screens for them little ones down the road.

Ultimately I would want to throw air bags on it, but who's got that kinda money?
