This is my 91' s10. It has had a customary SBC V8 swap.

I usually cruise it whenever there is a nice day. But mostly only during the weekends only because of gas prices. But don't get me wrong, I have been averaging 17/18 miles per gallon, which isn't all that bad really, it's just that I also own a Saturn SC1 that gets 38/40mpg.

APPEARANCE:

Has a 2inch drop in the front along with a 3inch drop in the rear. The rear bumper has been replaced with a roll pan. The grill and front bumper are all original which with a little polish shine quite nicely.

The rear is a 3.73:1 ratio motive gear which turns an Eaton differential. The rear power is transfered through 28spline 4x4 blazer axles that are connected to 255/55/16 M/T Street tires.
To eliminate tire spin, the old slapper bars were removed and the new comp. engineering slide-a-links took there place. (these made a huge difference in traction gain)

ENGINE:
The engine started life as a bare bones stock gm replacement 350 V8 connected to a T56 from a 97' trans am. With this in place, the truck moved but not as well as I expected:
Stock 1/4 time: 14.8 @97mph
So to help the performance numbers the top end was replaced with:
double hump heads
roller rockers
solid lift cam
single plane intake
650cfm holley double pumper
Underdrive pulleys by March
Mod.#1 1/4 mile time: 12.89 @ 103
then I wreaked the truck into some trees one evening before I had installed the slide-a-links(Lost traction going from 2nd to 3rd gear) Not a fun trip
While getting the body work finished, I had some down time to do some calculating and decided to do a few more performance mods.
Replaced the top end again with:
GMPP aluminum heads 2.00/1.6 valves
Matching dual plane intake by GMPP
A slightly more aggressive solid lunati cam .517/.543
same 650cfm holley
Same underdrive pulleys
gear to gear drive by Summit
MSD ignition
Sanderson 1 5/8 inch headers
2 1/4 inch cowl induction hood
Mod.#2 1/4 mile time: unknown but feels quite nice

The INTERIOR:
Pretty plane jane. I have the pod cluster on the driver's side that displays oil pressure, rpm and engine temp. The old school flip down cd player runs two stock 4x6 in the dash. Maybe later I will add some better sound. But right now I like the sound on the engine. In the middle of the two front seats there is the short shifter handle from the T56. Having two overdrives is a great thing.

Future plans are the Following:
Install 750 hp center section in Holley carb.
If money allows it I may add some type of power adder, ie: blower, custom rear mount turbo
