So i guess this is where my story starts, my dad use to have a celica back in the day, and well I wanted the same looking car but a corolla. Also after discovering the initial d game and anime, i decided i want that car. So after 5 years of searching, talking, and lost corolla opportunities I was finally able to pick one up.
this was the original car i was going to buy, it was 100, but straight body and such, well i figure since its an sr5 and I wanted to make it into a track car I thought itd be perfect.
well they had two one was complete, and my friend was going to buy the other one, did i mention i live 7 hours away from sacramento? well one weekend i went up there to look at it and decided i was going to get it.
Another weekend my friend decided to pick up the complete while i took the stripped one. well when we got there it was 10pm, and when we drove the complete one, it had a rod knock and timing issues. I almost lost my corolla opportunity again when i decided we might as well just pick up a complete corolla so my friend would get it. He decided since we drove out here and Initially it was for me since Ive been wanting it for a long time he would spot me the extra 250 that i didnt have so i could get it.
Well i got the corolla and it was a grueling drive back home, we towed it back with a twin cam ka24 nissan frontier, a 4 banger towing a corolla. It actually did, and it hauled. Along the way it was very windy and the car was swinging side to side. Well after another 6 hours of driving I finally got home safely.
And ever since it has been sitting in my driveway. I drive it from time to time but i dont think the neighbors like the loud noise it makes and smoke it puts out.
Now i wait, wait because i dont get paid enough at my job, wait because parts are hard to come by, but hopefully at the end of all this it will be worth the wait.
My goal was to start competing in events with this beastly corolla. Right now im just trying to find the parts to do the 4ag swap. and after im done with that, im gonna have to find the gts rearend for it. but thats when i have the money for it.
