This is our family race car. I get to live a dream of not only being around a quality built car, but also to share driving it with my brother and dad. Most guys only dream of going 0-135 mph in 5.35 seconds in a 1/8 mile....thats only 660 feet for the math impaired. I get to feel the 2.4 G's, smell the alcohol fumes and sit in the "garage-ma-haul" and drink beer tuning it. We changed the gear to run some 1/4 mile this year, models say it may run about 8 seconds at 180 to 185 mph.
Update 12/08, I was close...We ran 8.37 at 178 mph at Indianapolis Raceway Park this summer. Then in June we entered into the 20th annual Good Guys Hot Rod Nationals. Entered into B Gas wich has a index of 8.50, we had to slow the car down. We qualified #2 in the 12 car field with a 8.509. made it all the way to the finales and lost by 2 thousands of a second. You can google Good Guys Indy and see the results. http://good-guys.com/news/newsStory.aspx?newsid=1017
