This car came from Arkansas. I piloted this landyacht the whole 18 hour cruise home. What a dream to cruise in. It was burgundy with a black vinyl roof, still having the black leather interior. My Dad wanted a good trailer towing vehicle for his 27 ft. house trailer. He and I decided to paint it the same colors as the trailer (two tone beige). "Emily" (I name all my cars) has a 440 c.i.d. / 7.2 litre engine with a 727 3 speed auto transmission. with power everything. The posi-track rear end gives this car sure grip for hauling. I put dual exhaust on her, new tires and a specially made class III hitch. She's been in storage for the past few years now. Emily needs some TLC and a few updates to get her road worthy again. When I have the time, I don't have the money. When I have the money, I don't have the time! ; (
Also, any of you Imperial owners who may be reading this. Do you know how to prevent the A/C water from dripping into the passenger side floor pan when the A/C is in use?
The next two pictures are the ones sent to me from Arkansas, asking me if I'd be interested in owning it.
The next three pictures are of Emily... all cleaned up. Notice the big dents on her pasenger side. My body man did an amazing job on her body and paint work.
Here's a neat picture of Besilu (1978 Chrysler Newport) and Emily together. You will notice the family resemblance still after almost 10 years between them.
Here's Emily, hitched up to the trailer for the first time. We were trying to adjust the hitch settings to have her ride level. She tows that trailer with ease. Nothing like the torque of a 440 under your butt! : )
