This is my 1983 AMC Concord DL sedan. 258 6 with an Automatic transmission. This was the last year for AMC Concord and the end of a 14-year run for the Hornet/Concord model. The last Eagle model was 1988. A lot of people ask me if the 4 wheel drive still works? Apparently, some people can't tell the difference between an Eagle and a Concord.

The car has about 118.000 miles on it and runs amazingly well. It came with some options including cruse control, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning and AM FM (Mono) radio. The original owner told me the rims are factory stock. Not sure if they were an option on the 83 model. I bought her in 2002 from the original owner. My intention is to keep this car as stock as possible.

The pictures don't really do her justice. I've misplaced the photos I took a few years ago and just went out to take a few photos to post here. Always put it away in the winter to keep it from all the salt Ohio spreads all over the roads. I know she needs a good cleaning and a little detail work but underneath all that dust is a very nice Concord. I noticed an absence of 83 Concords here on CarDomain so, here she is. By the way. The dark spot on the bottom of the fenders isn't rust, it's rust inhibitor. After removing the stainless steel from the rocker panels I noticed a little surface rust. The passenger side door panel is off so I can repair the outside door handle. I will post more photos this summer once I get her all cleaned up and detailed. I have owned many AMCs in the last 35 years and and have always been a fan of these cars. Wish I had my 68 Javelin back :( My little friend in the drivers seat is Buster my boston terrier. I know she isn't an AMX and won't get 5 (or even 4) stars but I just wanted show you AMC fans my car. I hope to find another Javelin someday but I will never let my Concord go. OK that's all I can think of for now. Let's keep those AMCs alive!
