HAD THE CAR FOR OVER A YEAR AND ME AND A CREW ARE MAKING SMALL CHANGES AND THINKING ABOUT SWAPPING FOR A BP OR A BPT .. THE Z5 IS RUNNING VERY GOOD NOW THANKS TO MY MECHANIC FRIENDS AND SOME INFO I PICKED UP ON CLUBPROGEGE AND ALL THE MAZDA FORUMS

i do agree on the scarcity of JDM parts of your protege in the US.. and it is true that some of the pro's here have some added features that can't be seen overseas plus the fact that we have more parts here than in the US... but i do believe that they're all the same in a way... like the crap engine they've put in. i've been tweeking my B6D for sometime now and i've been able to yank out about 115hp at most.. but im also considering a bpt swap in the future.. let me know if yours worked out just fine.. keep the mods coming! more HP!!!

Hello Al, the b3sohc is identical to a b6sohc, at least externally. In fact if you rebore the b3 you can make it a b6, you wouldn't know the difference and some people have actually done it here. We don't have the Z5 variant here in the PHL, only B3 and B6. I like the intake on your engine, hope to see more updated pics and good luck on future mods!
