This Seat Cupra has the track record for any street driven vehicle in the Pachuca racetrack in Mexico. The record of 58.2s was set in 2007 and it has yet to be beaten. Other cars that have attempted to beat the time include Porsche's, Ferraris, Corvette's and even professionally prepared and driven rally cars!
The record was set by Chris Wilcox - Dr Turbo's owner; the same guy who built the car.
The time was done in full street trim and a damaged rear tyre which affected handling and also only allowed 3 laps in which to set the time! If it were not for the bad tire, and with more laps, the cars laptimes would have definitely improved..in any case it's the record holder!
