This is my baby. AKA "The Beast". She's got a 318 engine and is 3/4 ton. When I went to buy front wheel bearings the parts guy said I needed bearings for a 1 ton because the bearings I bought (matched up the #'s from the old ones) were the wrong ones. So now I'm a little confused. I've had 'The Beast' for 13 years, and not once, has anyone ever said 1 ton in relation to her. Any commments on this one?
I have a lot more to share about her, just not enough time right this minute. SHHH...Don't tell anyone but I am at work right now.

Just to let ya'll know, she is not my only project. I am also building a 1973 Ironhead Sportster, which has been painted but is still a long way away from being done. "The Beast" is my first project and has been for 13 years now. Money and situations have put my girl on the back burner several times, but I have finally started seeing results in the last two years.
I have LOTS of pics to add to this site of the slow progress and a story here and there to tell. I'll be adding pics as time allows. The guy that I bought her from said she was in a flood back in 1993? I think that's what year it was.
Anyway, the story is told she had only 2" sticking up out of the water for about a month. And yes, there was a mud line across the top of her when I acquired her (pretty thick too). She has had several baths since that day (inside and out) but I guess she will always have some remnants of her past with her all her days.
The very first time that I cranked her up, after several months work, she sounded pretty good, considering what she had been through. In my personal opinion... You just can't put a good Dodge down! They will always rise again! They just don't make 'em today like they used to back in the day 'eh? :-)
