Introduction
Here's a pic to get the ball rolling.

blue2003ls's 2004 GMC Sierra

So here’s the story. After a few months of trying to get my kids in and out of my 2003 Silverado extra cab I realized the rear doors didn’t work nearly as well with kids. I picked up a completely stock 2004 GMC Sierra crew cab short bed, 1/2 ton, 2wd from Carmax on 2/14/06. The truck had 22k miles on it and never anything more than the oil was ever changed. I had a list of changes I wanted to complete on my last truck but never got to it so with a few a few parts left over from my last truck I would keep the momentum going.

I started by transplanting parts from my 2003 Silverado extra cab and neglected to take many pics of it from stock to its present form. This is what it looked like after a week of transferring parts.

All of the compatible interior, suspension and performance parts were transferred. 2" McGaughys spindles, 1" McGaughys coil, 2" Belltech rear shackle and nitro drop front shocks. The 20" rims were also from my 2003 Silverado. They are 20x8.5" ADR Titans with Goodyear Eagle GTII 275/45R20
The door handles and billet grill were the first exterior changes.

The door handles are OEM Escalades for the passenger doors and Denali color matched tailgate bezel. The chrome tailgate handle is aftermarket to complete the package.

The two holes in the factory bumper looked a little empty so billet was the answer.

The bumper billets were flat and didn't match the upper grill so I cut, ground and re-polished them.  Here is the finished product.

The rear suspension was not compatible with the extra cab so I had a massive rake due to the 3/2 drop. A McGaughy’s rear flip kit, frame notch and load assist was added to get it level and keep the towing capacity.

Here is the final result of a 3/6 drop on a CCSB with 15psi in the helper bags. The ride is nice and smooth considering the height reduction. The rims are 22x9.5" Driv Moonshines with Nitto 285/35ZR22's.
